5D YOGA
From Movement to Mantra and 5 Senses
September 27th, 2:00 – 4:00pm $45
Anna Kurmanova — cover teacher at CYC, invites our community to experience her original 5D Yoga approach, including a special 30-minute mantra practice with Loretta Jo.
Anna is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher & yoga therapist with more than 18 years of teaching experience and works within a holistic, integral Hatha Yoga tradition.
This gathering began with Anna and Loretta Jo’s shared wish to chant mantras together. As they continued talking, they discovered many points of connection in how they understand and share yoga. Loretta Jo then warmly invited Anna to introduce her approach to our local yoga community.
We are more than just our physical bodies. We also carry energy, emotions, thoughts, inner wisdom, and a deeper sense of connection. When we learn how to notice and support these different layers of ourselves, life can feel more balanced, meaningful, and fulfilling. This is the heart of 5D Yoga: using the tools of yoga to care for the whole person, not just the body.
During this two-hour experiential workshop, short teachings will alternate with accessible practices. The workshop will offer a practical introduction to:
5 essential tools of yoga: asana, pranayama, philosophy, meditation and relaxation, and mantra;
5 elements within the body: earth, water, fire, air, and ether;
5 layers of being: the physical, energetic, mental-emotional, wisdom, and bliss bodies;
5 inner foundations of gratitude: gratitude to our parents, teachers, physical body, Higher Energy, and Mother Earth;
5 senses: sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste, brought together in a guided tea meditation.
The workshop will include chanting Om Namah Shivaya and Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu with Loretta Jo and Anna.
We will close in silence with a guided 5 Senses Tea Meditation, using sight, hearing, touch, smell, and taste to train attention and experience an ordinary moment with greater depth.
Come to move, breathe, chant, restore your energy, and experience yoga as a complete practice for the body, mind, and inner life.
All levels are welcome.
