Kiersten Sledge (EponaYoga) is leading a special pop-up Restore & Meditate class on Friday, July 15th – 7-8:15pm
This Iyengar inspired class focuses on allowing the body to find the asanas (poses) through supports. Restorative poses enable deep relaxation as you hold them for longer periods of time with the help of props to completely support you. The purpose of restorative yoga in a modern day setting is to allow the body to spend time in the relaxation response, calm the autonomic nervous system, and provide space for physical and mental rest.
The meditation practice is guided and can appear at the beginning, end or weaved throughout the class. In the guided meditation, Kiersten will use a variety of methods like visualization, single subject focus, positive affirmations and journeys to help the mind achieve the goal of meditation – as a tool to understand journeys, feelings and emotions and to connect with our inner self or our higher purpose self.
Register now as spaces will fill quickly for this special class!
